Seven Breaths - poetry cycle performance

New poetry and soundscape performance of “7 Breaths”. This is a new poetry cycle I’ve been working on over the last few months. It’s based on iNaturalist observations within a seven minute walk from where I live and the piece draws on elements of la belle epoch to create prayers and spells for the forest. Last night we did an impro of the “Seven Breaths” piece I shared a couple of weeks ago. In that piece I’ve used seven breaths of music, Six performed by singer @richardlawsonmusic and the seventh is the breath of the listener. Last night we performed the poetry and music at River Rock, with piano three vocals synthesiser electric guitar and dulcimer. The full piece went for just over ten minutes and included poetry readings of four of the works from the new poetry cycle.
